This code is formulated with a view to standardizing the construction and operation of deep tunnels of hydropower projects, to achieve safety, reliability, technological advancement, and cost effectiveness.
This code is applicable?to the investigation, design, construction, and operation and maintenance of deep tunnels of hydropower projects.
For?the construction and operation of deep tunnels of hydropower projects, proven novel technologies, processes, materials, methods, and equipment?shall?be?actively and prudently adopted.
In addition to this code, the construction and operation of?deep tunnels of hydropower projects shall comply with other current relevant standards of China.
